NWDC Garners International Attention

Brigadier General (BG) Abudulla Al-Ammari, Commander, Qatari Armed Forces (QAF) concepts and doctrine center visited on Thursday, March 13, 2023 to discuss U.S. engagement strategies on Navy doctrine, concepts, training, exercises, and lessons learned.
The visit enhanced the relationship between U.S. and Qatar with an eye to help the QAF as they integrate their joint force in support of their recent designation by the U.S. Government as a Major Non-NATO ally.
Strengthening integrated deterrence with allies and partners is a key objective of the 2022 National Defense Strategy (NDS). As stated in the fact sheet for the 2022 NDS, "mutually-beneficial alliances and partnerships are an enduring strength for the United States, and are critical to achieving our objectives.” With this in mind, Navy Warfare Development Center (NWDC) recently hosted leadership and guests from France, Ukraine, and Qatar spanning a wide breadth of subjects.
